AC Grayling on the wider applications of scientific thinking

July 4th, 2009 · No Comments · The truth is out there

I was lucky enough to get a ticket recently to hear Richard Dawkins, AC Grayling and a host of other extremely interesting speakers at the British Humanist Association’s Darwin, Humanism and Science conference held in Bloomsbury, London.

Of course, the chance to hear Dawkins speak was wonderful. But as public intellectuals go, AC Grayling is one of my favourites – a man paid to think on our behalf and making a really wonderful contribution to a very badly debased public discourse.

If you haven’t read any of his books, I would strongly recommend you do, particularly the “things” series – more here. But in the meantime here’s a chance to hear Grayling thinking out loud on the application of scientific thinking to wider areas of life.
