John Cleese, asked what he thinks of Sarah Palin, bursts out laughing. He then says: “It’s like a nice-looking parrot. The parrot speaks beautifully and kind of says ‘aw shucks’ now and again. But doesn’t really have any understanding of the meaning of the words it is producing, even though it is producing them very accurately… the extraordinary thing is that so many people are taken in by it. The truth is that Sarah Palin is no way good enough.”

And they would prove to have have extraordinary resonance in the current political circumstances. But they are definitely best refrained from, I feel. The point has been made.
